IN PEI SHAN LEE'S VIDEO-IMAGES, THE BODY RE-EMERGES AS A COMPOSITE ENTITY, SUSPENDED BETWEEN MANGA ICONOGRAPHIES, SOFT-HORROR TONES, AND SYNTHETIC TEXTURES. FIGURES, PROSTHESES, INSECTS, GLOSSY SURFACES, AND ANATOMICAL FRAGMENTS COEXIST ON THE SAME PLANE, SHAPING A SINGLE, MUTATING VISUAL ECOLOGY. THE IMAGES CONSTRUCT AN ATMOSPHERE, A PERCEPTIVE FIELD IN WHICH THE HUMAN APPEARS AS A POROUS ENTITY, TRAVERSED BY TECHNOLOGICAL DEVICES, SEDIMENTATIONS OF MEMORY, CULTURAL MYTHOLOGIES, AND DIGITAL RESIDUES. THE FIGURE IS NO LONGER A STABLE CENTER, BUT A SURFACE OF TRANSIT, A POINT OF INTERSECTION BETWEEN ORGANIC MATTER AND MEDIA INFRASTRUCTURES. WHAT EMERGES IS NOT THE PROJECTION OF A REMOTE FUTURE, BUT RATHER THE FOCUSING ON A CONDITION ALREADY OPERATIVE IN THE PRESENT, WHICH TURNS THE BODY INTO A COMPOSITE ORGANISM, MADE OF HETEROGENEOUS ELEMENTS THAT CONTINUOUSLY ASSEMBLE AND DISASSEMBLE. IN THIS UNSTABLE BALANCE BETWEEN SEDUCTION AND DISINTEGRATION, THE IMAGE MAKES VISIBLE A SUBJECTIVITY THAT NO LONGER COINCIDES WITH THE INTEGRITY OF FORM, BUT WITH THE VERY PROCESS OF ITS TRANSFORMATION.
